## What this tool does NOT do
This is general court-day arithmetic only. It does not apply any state statute, local court rule, or named deadline type (e.g. a specific discovery or filing deadline), and it does not account for state-specific court holidays or local closures. Court-day rules, holiday observances, and what counts as a "court day" vary by jurisdiction and case type — always verify against your local rules of court or rules of civil procedure before relying on a date.
